Hello All,
Updates:
1. The priests had a meeting with the Bishop today, and plans are moving forward regarding a limited opening for early June. The details are being hammered out, but the basic idea is to have a percentage of the church's capacity admitted to Mass, together with other measures such as masks, spacing, and hand sanitizer.
Some people I talked to said that the bishop made a comment at one of his Masses about not "opening up" until we have a vaccine or herd immunity. He clarified that his anticipation is to wait until then to "open up" in the sense of unrestricted access without any limitations. But a limited access or opening will occur by June, as I said.
2. That being said, the status quo for now remains. 5 people allowed at Mass. So, here is the link for signing up: Mass sign up. Again, I ask that if you have been to Mass this week, you not sign up for now.
3. But no limit on signing up for confession on Friday! Here is the link: Confession sign up
4. Also, an important update from Fr. Gratton! His orders with the VT Army National Guard have been extended until May 31 ... but he wanted you to know that they proposed all the way through June, and he told them no so he could come back to the parish.
5. Also, in case you were concerned, the Clorox wipes have been delivered to OLA and are available at the entrance, as they are at St. Anthony's.
Reflection ...
In lieu of a reflection, Fr. Gratton and I have supplied you with a video of Irish music to lift your spirits! You can find it on www.facebook.com/ourladyvt, as well as here below.
Enjoy!
